Mummy Cookies
Here’s a quick and easy way to turn a regular treat into a Halloween delight for the kids.
My friend Johanna made these Mummy Cookies last year for a Halloween party. For the mummy bandages, she used this wonderful Betty Crocker cake icing product in the can. So simple.
You can make your own cookies or, to save time, buy some already made. You can even follow the same process using cupcakes rather than cookies. In fact, this recipe was adapted from one for “Mummy Cupcakes” on a blog called Tablespoon.
So take a few minutes and make some mummies – your kids will think you are really cool (and they don’t have to know that it didn’t take you all day!).

Mummy Cookies
Some icing and mini M&M's transform regular cookies into mummies for Halloween.
Instructions
Buy or make the cookie of your choice.
Pipe lines of frosting back and forth across each cookie, leaving a small opening for the mummy eyes. To get the full mummy effect, be sure to overlap your lines.
Place a small amount of black decorating gel on the two spots on the cookie where you want to put the eyes, and then place an M&M on each spot (the gel acts like glue to hold the M&M's in place).
Use the black decorating gel to make two dots on top of the M&M's for eyes.
