About Joplin MO Life
I created Joplin MO Life as a way to show people that there are plenty of things to do and see in a city of 50,000 people. I am a transplant to the area, a Chicago native who has lived in Joplin for almost three decades. Growing up in the Windy City, I was accustomed to having a wide variety of well-known museums, restaurants, sports venues, theaters, and parks nearby. I knew nothing about the area when I moved to Joplin, so began exploring.
For me, the fun part of visiting or moving to a city is discovering new things each week, whether it be a relatively unknown park, a new restaurant, or a community event. I enjoy seeking out these experiences and sharing my thoughts about them so that others can learn about the resources right in their backyards.
I believe that living in Joplin can be just as exciting as living in Chicago if you decide to fully immerse yourself in all that this community has to offer. So I invite you to browse through the different categories on this blog and enjoy some Joplin MO life!
